ClusterBio was co-founded with Jeff Hubble, a bioengineer and a guest of your podcast. The metabolite we've started with is butyrate. There's already a large body of evidence in support of butyrate's ability to regulate both the intestinal barrier and the immune system. We can show in animal models that after only two weeks of treatment, our drug can prevent allergic mice from responding with an anaphylactic response to challenge with the allergen.
