The Science of China in the 20th Century
I think centering the people who are working in harmony or in sympathy with these sorts of broad ways of thinking is probably the best approach right because then we stop short of saying that modern science is just another religion. What I saw was a very clear attempt at using science to indicate what was the nature that belonged within the borders of China of new China. There were redemption, redemptive projects going on all around through using science to redeem the area from its history of conquest domination and attempted colonization. And potentially on the part of the scientists themselves attempts to redeem their their past of cooperating almost like collaborating cooperate with with international science which was, you know, intertwined with imperialism in the 20th century
