Is There a Culture of Complexity in the Advertising Industry?
I have received feedback multiple times in my career that I have made things too simple. The smarter clients I've always worked with, they don't give a shit about the whole up front,. As long as the answer is nice and simple and executable, that's all they care about. But yeah, on the agency side, I have had many times feedback that the answer just can't be this simple. It comes from an insecurity within the industry. And I think an insecurity of a lot of leaders who have sort of just ended up in those roles.
