Freedman Was a New Dealer
In the 19 thirties and forties, milton freedman first took a job as a new deal economist. He then later wrote a paper about how raising taxes could be a useful way to slow inflation. Later on he kind of disavowed all this stuff but i was surprised that early in his career he considered himself a cansian,. which i think was a shock to him even to him later.
