The Beginning of Single Vineyards
The first operational vintage for the actual cellar where we are working now was 1961. The early 60s was the moment when we started to look more and more toward Burgundy. Most of the Barolo and Barresco were made by Negotiante by engraves. So at that point, when you make wine from your own land, you want that land to be famous. If it's already known as a top vineyard, then I want to put that name on the label.
