Are You a Memanian Paliontologist?
The site itself is fascinating because the gypsum does not preserve bones. We have a record of columbian mammoth footprints, giant ground sloth footprints, dire wolves and extinct camelids. So we have the entire ecosystem represented - including animals that humans were directly targeting as their prey. That enables us to realize who's the predator and who's the prey, and how humans are conducting themselves on the landscape. And i think that tells us a lot about the humans, their position in the eco system.
