The Importance of Nerfing the Bombs

DM Tyler D writes, may it please the illustrious judges and their stalwart bailiff. "I love to you as a humble DM who gave their PCs too many toys to play with" I run a high level campaign in which the party had recently received a large payout for their endeavors. One of my players decided that instead of spending all of his hard earned loot on weapons, armor or magic items he wanted to buy two things. He spent about 100,000 gold on bombs and obscene amount of money he has been saving up for dozens of sessions. This leaves me questioning what to do. Should I nerf the bombs? Or was I wrong to let them do this in the first place
