Spengler's work was brought to Hitler by one of his followers, and Hitler referred to him as a pessimist. I think yes, the pessimism part was certainly a dividing line between Spengler and the Nazis. There was a strong, a kiliastic component with the Nazis, which was still looking at some kind of national innovation.
