Prince Frederick and Cartier Storcom Dated Outside of Denmark
Frederick went on to date model Cartier Storcom while he was completing his military training. A biographer who wrote about this relationship after Frederick had already married Mary, sorry, spoiler alert, wrote that Cartier was the true love of Prince Frederick's life. Now reportedly after two years of being head over heels in love Frederick secretly proposed to Cartier but apparently his mother didn't approve because of a strange reported and unspoken tradition in the Danish royal family to marry non-Danish partners.
