Kevin McCarthy and the Debt Ceiling

The debt ceiling thing just gives us a little stage or one act play to kind of play around with this stuff. But ultimately, until somebody is really serious about budget cuts, which Americans typically only do in an emergency, nothing's going to happen. When you have a very narrow margin, right, four seats and one of those seats is owned by George Santos, it makes everybody have a lot more responsibility and accountability than they otherwise would. There's no cost to being a braying jackass when you have a 30-40 seat majority, right?
