The US and China's Perception of the Blinken Visit to China
There was a clear difference in perceptions if you look at how the Americans perceive this visit and how the Chinese perceive this visit. The US went with an intent to not have a breakthrough but at least manage the relations kickstart efforts that could manage the relations well. China looked like they utilized the opportunity to just get back at the Americans and rant about their concerns, says John Defterios.
