A lot of artists come to the conclusion that they're emptying out in therapy is a waste and actually one's art should be one's therapy. Bloom once again brings in Kierkegaard you don't have to spend too long reading bloom before you're inspired to tear through Kierkegaard, Freud and all of his disciples. The only humane virtue we can teach through an advanced study of literature is detachment from one's imagination now I think that's probably beyond the remit of this show blooms was one of those critics who resisted the idea that art should have a moral influence.
