Naidoc Award Winners
Ash won the Naidoc Person of the Year for her work in education and helping other young people get into sport. Dr Lois Peeler is a Yorta Yorta and Wirundjeri woman who won the Elder of the Year award. The male elder of the year was Uncle Jack Charles. He's a bina-wrong and Wiradjuri man and a member of the stolen generations. They are First Nations children who were taken away from their families. This one star Buddy Franklin won Sportsperson of the Year. Youth of the Year went to Elijah Manus, a Torres Strait Islander who's fighting the effects of climate change. Well done to all the National
