The Different Types of Shoulder Injuries

75% of all shoulder instabilities are the torn type, the traumatic type. There's two main directions - anteriorly or posteriorly dislocated under traumatic circumstances. The most common is an anterior traumatic dislocation which occurs with a direct landing onto the elbow. A sudden bolt of muscle contractions tend to cause the shoulder to dislocate post-dirally.
