JavaScript and the Hate Love Relationship

Without JavaScript, this editor wouldn't really be possible because it's what allows us to make this web page interactive and dragging things around on a page. Why do you think people have such a strong emotion towards JavaScript? There's a bit of a hate love relationship thing happening out there, I think. And then some users hate it because they cannot get away from the past or where everything would load instantly. It makes it so easy to make very dynamic and you can put whatever you want, be content or any other functionality. So I guess some developers love it because of that.
