The History of Wig Powder
In the 17th century, it seemed like men really had the nicest things which were expressive of their power. Powder was initially made of flour but as you may know, we also eat flour. There were riots in 1715 surrounding wealthy people's use of flour in their wigs because there was a certain amount of starvation going on.
