The Diagnostic Concept of Violence

Violence is a direct reflection of our values. Without symbolic boundaries that encircle what we value, we wouldn't use the term violence to name a violation or a crossing. So I noticed that it's like hard to find an example of violence where a line isn't being crossed or a boundary around something important isn't being like transgressed. And so if you call something violent, that tells me something about where you think the lines are.
