How to Send Supplemental Letters of Recommendation to Your Students
Some colleges have been more clear about this point. A letter from your coach especially if you're not a recruited athlete is not going to change anyone's mind on if they should admit you or not. You can try to send it but if a college isn't going to take it, the chance of them reading that extraneous information or going through it is really low. I've seen students without any supplemental recommendations, any portfolios, anything extra certainly get into the most selective colleges.
