The Bias of a Neuro Divergent Child With ADHD
"There is this bias that comes along with, with just any kind of diagnosis in general, but specifically a neuro divergent diagnosis," she says. "We will hyper focus on a particular diagnosis or a particular, you know, symptom and then show up to a doctor's office and say, I know I have these, right? And they're like, well, no, because you're not a boy." She continues: "If we don't know that we have ADHD, we can’t fix what we don't knows, You know, or we can't even reduce the symptoms".
