Our brain is designed for survival, not for pursuit of happiness. It's set up for survival and lots of things that we do move us towards survival or interfere with survival. And when we decide we want to do something different, I'm going to start doing this. This part of the brain says, No change means threat. Change means potential. So it prevents you from changing the behavior. We have a mechanism in our brain that doesn't want us to grow and change and evolve. Part of our brain wants us to say safely stuck.
