A Love-Studying Wind in Deserts

Dr Jo Neild is an Aolian geomorphologist from the University of Southampton. She uses a terrestrial laser scanner to try and measure the almost invisible formation of sand dunes. So if I'm looking at that gravel surface and I want to see when sand first starts to accumulate, if I keep measuring the surface again and again and again, eventually we'll catch out the kind of birth if you like of a dune.
