Is Bitcoin Really Risky?

Bitcoin is a hard asset for those who understand it. It's hard money, you can't just make more and more of it like you can with the dollar. People who have believed in it and held Bitcoin for the long run have been very handsomely rewarded. And I think they will continue to be rewarded. The only thing unknowable about it is the short term price movements. But we know that if you have something that people are willing to hold on to over time its value will increase mathematically infinity. There's nothing that's so here's what I like to say a lot. So risk only equals volatility in academia.
