Is the Bivalent Booster a Better Vaccine?
The FDA saw data from both Moderna and Pfizer back in June that showed a bivalent vaccine induced better responses against Omicron. Up until then, they had tried bivalent vaccines with other variants, but they never performed better than the booster with just the original vaccine strain. So this is really a move by the FDA and public health officials to try to get at least even with the virus.
