Brigham Young is 32 years old. He's been a fairly successful independent businessman, but not remarkably so. Nothing about his life would tell you that this was someone who was going to have an impact on history. For 32 years, Brigham lived a more or less normal frontier life. But from here on out, that was going to be different because he would be fanatically committed to Mormonism.
