It was a weird choice that they showed the mirror behind John and had Sherlock talking. It feels like it could have a meaning but or like it took a visual language that they're exploring perhaps. I don't think there's enough proof really to definitively say that Mary likes cats. But we see a little bit about Sue Lynn. I just noticed this time that she lives above or next to the lucky cat.
