The Influence of the Swing Vote on American Elections
The term soccer moms might now sound a bit nostalgic looking back to the American politics of the 1990s. But this article that appeared just last week in the Wall Street Journal, white women in suburbs, key voting block for 2024 basically makes the same argument. The swing vote insofar as there is a swing vote in the United States has to do largely with metropolitan areas where there are a lot of people moving into the region around a city and they will often be mixed.
