The Importance of Collaboration in Academic Research
A lot of this data that's the output of research projects just sits on tapes or someone's laptop and is basically inaccessible by anyone else. If we were to collectively make that simpler at a global scale so that anybody can take your work that you're describing in a paper and reproduce it easily, that would be ideal. That's what we're doing in software. We do that with networks. We're working on that security with zero trust. How do we not get lazy about how we interface with others on data sets? At some point, what has we get value out of our data within the organization?
