The Left Behind White Working Class
I don't like the term left behind because it's a kind of pejorative term on people as if they have moved with the rest of the rest of us into the future. So we talk about the left behind white working class you're saying lose the word white. There are sections of the work last the old towns in the northeast for instance the old manufacturing mining towns and so on. The way we understand class has been become so forced through the lens of cultural race or ethnicity that we almost lose sense of what class is and why it matters.
