The Richness of the Spiritual Life
Megan: In the church, there's a richness to the spiritual life. Ignatius says contemplation is an active work by the person praying but it's also going to be more of the heart. I think Carmelite spirituality is a bit more mystical than Ignatius' meditation. Megan: For John that deeper, like the prayer of quiet, prayer of silence,. there's a different experience we have when we go deeper in prayer.
