Is There a Moral Responsibility in Our Criminal Justice System?
Yelik: America's criminal justice system is currently a horrible mess of, you know, nominally rehabilitative, while primarily it feels like punitive and deterrent. Under my model, it would be, we would get rid of the punitive side of things. The goal is no longer to punish anyone. Yelik: Nobody deserves to be punished. So why are we punishing people? We're either punishing them because it makes the world ber doin it ecause it makes theWorld better,. Right? That should be our goal whether or not tha's a what we're doing right, that that's the goal.
