The Basic Law of Israel

Israel doesn't have a written constitution, unlike Britain. So if you fill your Supreme Court with political appointees in a country with no constitution, anything can happen. The separation of powers between the judiciary and the executive is even more important if you want to run a democracy because there's no constitution. And that of course is the is massive dilemma because what you have is an open sewer, physically, and an open wound politically, festering away in Israel.
