Why Did This Even Happen?

It was a bit mysterious to me that this visit happened at all. Given the situation globally, it didn't seem like the obvious time to precipitate another round of hot rhetoric in the cold war between china and the united states. I don't understand why the bidan administration, or i should say, nancy policy, is forcing this issue when the us doesn't have a credible game plan for an actual war. But it ssto me that each time you have a crisis like this, you take a step closer to there actually being a war.
