The usual one that we would use is the jugular venus approach, which can easily be visualized with ultra sound. But i feel very comfortable using other vessels and endoing both diagnost procedures and intervitional procedures through non traditional bascular approaches. I've done all of mine that way u now there are some considerations even with that. If you have to use radiation, remember that scatter from the x rays can still occur internally. And so thereis still some exposure when you have thoracic x ray application to the abdomen.
