The Importance of Connecting the Dots
There's a very big difference between wholesale plagiarizing and paraphrasing to connect the dots. We don't teach kids to do that. Too often, we teach them to be cogs in this weird machine that makes unreadable papers. The SAT is nothing about compliance to a system. They will never need to write a paper like that again unless they become an English teacher at a second rate college.
