The queen moved with the times, always posh of course. But in her most recent appearances she showed not only an informality of speech, but an informality in the wayway she allowed herself to be presented. I'm thinking of the two thousand and 12 london olympics, when daniel craig james bond walked into the palace and then pretended to jump out of a helicopter. She enjoyed being more informal and being seen to have a sense of humour.
