The German Green Party and the Nuclear Threat

The continent is facing this shortage of natural gas which is leading to a shortage of heat and electricity. Germany after a bunch of teeth gnashing managed to keep its three remaining nuclear power plants open for another few months until the middle of March. The big hold up here was the Green Party which is part of Schultz's government. They were resisting any change to the law that would have closed those nuclear power plants even though nuclear energy doesn't make climate change any worse.
