I Was Headhunted for a Job at 30 and I Was HR at 30
I was 30 years old and according to the CIPD at the time was like the UK's youngest age R director. I had this huge team of like we had 4,000 people 3,500 full time and then kind of 500 temps and contractors. And so I think a lot of it was I felt like I had this enormous weight on my shoulders. In some ways to almost be this kind of advocate for the next generation of women or to show that we could do anything that we put our minds to. But somewhere in that wanting to prove that was where I stepped away from it.
