When a pot of us goes missing, the cells near the injured site switch into... ..the Rome-o-d. And we regrow the missing piece. Scientists haven't really figured out how yet. But it's partly because we're Neotenic, aka forever babies. Oh, did I mention that our genome is ten times more complicated than what you humans got? It's one of the biggest genomes ever sequenced. Bigger than a lion's genome, bigger than an elephant's. Which means we're complicated and mysterious. We don't have teeth, so I can suck up my food like a vacuum cleaner. Ooh, I smell Worms.
