The labels didn't even know that any of these scenes even existed I mean that's really the impetus for why I did the first metal masquer and the successive ones as well because the major labels couldn't care less about metal. That wasn't until four or five years later that everybody got involved and became a big mess yeah. The genius came in of these bands and the grassroots effect of getting it out there tape trading and and fanzings and nonstop touringYeah absolutely and that's what created this huge buzz in the chute scene happening. All the bands the only two bands really that went to majors from our scene were Metallica and SlayerEverybody else you know went and had some form
