The Dangers of Incumbency Bias in Politics
I think there was an issue which is incumbency bias. The danger has always been that the people that can give you access are the government and they matter, they just matter more to you than the opposition does. I mean, in the UK right now, we may be about to get to here where actually the patronage of the opposition might be more important to you as they disintegrate or whatever. So, it does happen, but it doesn't mean that there's this kind of, or he sort of, these Tories inside the BBC trying to make it, you know, push a particular editorial line," she says.
