The Dilemma of Freud

I think he would have had to come down on the side of the id as Freud calls it. especially because he's almost saying exactly what Freud would say literally with using the word " estinct" I don't know that you can have this like if he was a systematic thinker I think he would just want to come up against this problem. Where does the will to power also cut against even theWill to power over oneself?
