I think one of the hugest problems learning the program, and it doesn't really matter whether you're a kid or not, is in order to do anything that is at all interesting or seems like you've accomplished something, you have to learn a bunch of little tiny facts. Yeah, I mean, I definitely tried to keep all the in the first book, all the little game programs anywhere between 50 and 200 lines of code. Just because you don't really have to have that much code to make something a lot of fun.
