There were issues apparently at the time with some reports of problems as a result of the fact that things like protein S and the anticoagulant factors were lower than expected in those products. With the serous technology using the sorrelins, that cannot be used on red cells or whole blood because they are absorbed by hemoglobin. Instead, serous has developed a totally different technology using a complex molecule that has an antibody that directs this molecule to DNA.
