Are You Going to Be Put on Trial?

Jesus is giving a motivating speech to his inner circle saying, okay, you're going to be dragged in front of councils. And so Jesus is clear that this isn't going to end well on the earthly side of things for some people who follow him. But yet that's not the final story. In Jewish eschatology, it was understood before the end times there would be a period of great suffering and tribulations.
