DeSantis was criticized for supporting legislation that would have potentially cut entitlements or raise the retirement age when it comes to things like social security and Medicare. There's also a lot of media scrutiny on DeSantis, where there were stories about him. He was like coming off as like a loof to some people, maybe not great, glad handing with voters but actually more than strength for Trump.
