Anne was 13 when they went into hiding. She wrote in that diary a which she sort of gave a persona to the diary, calling it kitty. And confided in kitty throughout their time hiding there until august of 19 forty four - and that's when the raid happened. Who called in this tip, if in fact someone did call in this tip? So this question of who made that call to the nansies, or tipped off the nancies, has remained a mystery since 19 forty four.
