The Table of Alien Righteousness

Moses seeks to leverage God's favor for the sake of his stiff-necked people. Jesus Christ is righteous and has found full favor with God, so our righteousness is an "alien righteousness," he says. We're not justified based on righteousness in us; we are justified based onrighteousness in Jesus.
