Crayoso: paganism is not a modern post-wickened definition of the word. He says there is very little evidence for pre-Christian Anglo-Saxon beliefs and practices. Snorri Stollason was Christian and lived in an Iceland where paganism was no longer in living memory. The name of four deities, does indicate some kinship between Anglo- Saxon mythology and mythologies of other Germanic peoples.
