Renewable Energy Integration and Challenges in Kurdistan

This chapter discusses the Kurdistan Regional Government's efforts to integrate renewable energy into its electricity network, including the shorter electricity outages experienced, the enabling legal environment for private sector investment, reliance on renewables such as hydropower dams and solar power plants, installation of smart meters, budgetary constraints, and challenges in accessing international finance.
