Nick Clegg was really enthusiastic in the early years now it might have been an affectation to convey stability that two parties were ruling but I don't think it was that. The orange book liberal wing prevailed during that period on the whole. Davey is now passionately anti-tory there was a very moving interview he gave to the Guardian last week where he conveyed it with great passion. He did when he was in the cabinet try and get the Cameron apparent enthusiasm for green issues back on board you know Cameron pretended with his early slogan go vote blue go green.
